Edward Glab, Ph.D. Ed is a Clinical Professor in the School of International and Public Affairs. He has over three decades of experience in dealing with the media and training executives in how to handle the public affairs and media aspects of emergencies. He has worked in radio, TV and as a newspaper stringer and has over 35 years of private sector (ExxonMobil) and academic experience (five universities on two continents) dealing with real life crises and teaching others how to manage them effectively. He has appeared frequently on TV and radio in both English and Spanish.

Emmett (Bill) Young. Bill has a BA in Communications (television/radio/film) and MBA from Michigan State University. He has spent nearly four decades in Public Affairs, Media Relations and Government Relations with a number of firms, including Energy Intelligence and Exxon. During his career with Exxon, he headed the Press Office in Anchorage, Alaska, after the Valdez oil spill in 1989. He was lead spokesperson/media contact for Exxon’s Far Eastern investments, as well as their giant shale oil project in Colorado. Bill also anchored a weekly television news show, "This Week at Exxon," and has conducted audits of emergency response media plans at companies in both and U.S. and overseas.

Paula C. Bickman. Paula is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park where she majored in Spanish Business Communications. She spent over a decade in communications and marketing with Warner Lambert/Parke Davis, Pfizer and Sanofi-Aventis. She currently specializes in multi-media make-up and hair styling for fashion shoots, weddings and TV commercials. Paula is bilingual in Spanish and English.

Alicia Alvarez, Ph.D. Alicia is a graduate of the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. She a bilingual journalist and media communications consultant who currently does both teaching and consulting at the University of Miami and Florida International University (FIU) in MIami. In addition to being a professional translator and former editor at McGraw-Hill, she works out of Miami as a freelance correspondent for the Madrid-based Revista Chesterton and the Diario La Razón, Madrid Spain. She has two decades of experience in public relations and communications with companies such as Young and Rubicam, Erickson, Bassat Ogilvy & Mather and AALanguageConsultants. She has also worked for Cableuropa-ONO (Madrid), where she helped design and implement English/Spanish communications policies for integrated cable services.
